I’ve been in and out of the social media and from blogging the last couple of weeks, I’ve been trying to do another social media detox and taking a break from writing which I have been not fond of. But for some reason, I always end up thinking about what else to write or what photos should I share with the whole blogosphere and all that stuff. So today, I’m sharing with you guys how life has been lately.
Surprisingly, life had been really amazing! I might not live in a castle nor do I have a tiara above my head but I feel a lot like royalty. Life isn’t life if there are no ups and downs along the way, right? Of course I’ve had quite a lot of moments lately but I’ve been really optimistic about everything.
My Sweet Motherhood
Life lately had been all about dealing with my daughter’s many transitions. From the day she started to have a crazy sleep schedule, nap transition and the day she started to walk on her own. There hasn’t been a day that I didn’t wish she’d stayed little. It’s exciting to see all of her milestones of course, it’s just me being a mom and I will definitely miss her toddler years. Well, I miss the newborn and infant days, I miss my baby already even though she’s right by my side while I type this part. Some days are just so crazy, some days are so great that I don’t even want it to end. It’s a never ending tale when you’re a mom to a toddler, but hey, I’m so blessed to have her to make me go all the way over my head because Samantha makes me happy every day. I will never ever stop being grateful that I’m hers and she’s mine. #proudmomma
My Happy Memories
Lately, I’ve been capturing beautiful memories and not skipping any of it with my little family. I’ve been taking a lot of photos with my Huawei Nova 2 Lite (or Huawei Y7 2018 in other countries) which happens to be one of the best Android phones I’ve ever had, I really enjoy taking loads of photos because the bokeh effect is just amazing! I know I’m kind of behind with this photography stuff but now I’m catching up and learning few tweaks and tips from my favorite Instagrammers and bloggers!
Food Fetish Nation & Celebrations
I’ve gone to places where I’ve always dreamed of visiting. Like the place called Cafegraphy, which is only a few blocks away from our home. It’s a small vintage-y cafe which I instantly fell in love with because the place displayed REAL old vintage cameras. I live for vintage stuff. I’ve had the best Strawberry Oreo milkshake too! My husband got to savour the sisig plate as well.
We had a late Mother’s Day celebration at a restaurant called, Cuba Libre. Which served Cuban food, they have rice bowls with lots of variants that you can choose from. We loved the food! I didn’t took a lot of snaps at the place because we were busy munching down our dinner. The restaurant’s aesthetic is to die for! It’s filled with vibrant and happy colors which stimulates hunger (wait, did I say that out loud?! Hehe) We are definitely coming back and try some more of their delicious food!
Last and definitely not the least, we had dinner at Sunnies Cafe the other night. I’ve never been to LA, but I’ve seen a few TV series taken in LA and I kind of somehow felt like I was in a restaurant in LA! Everything is pretty & pink-ish, which I absolutely adore. I don’t have enough photos again but we love their rice bowls! I had the crispy sweet chili rice bowl and my husband had the crispy honey garlic chicken bowl! I wish I had taken enough photos though. We are coming back for those yummy desserts and milkshakes soon!
Have you noticed the amount of copious selfies/outfits photos I post recently? Yeah well, that became my hobby once I’m in the mood to take loads of photos of Sam or myself, I feel like there’s nothing in between! I’ve been curating my Instagram page too, if any of you had noticed. I feel so creative about it. I’ve learned how to maximize the editing apps that I use. I’ve discovered pretty filters and essential tools to make my photos a lot #instagrammable! ❤️
Having family around makes my heart melt and makes everything a lot lighter. My baby sister, Mary Andrea was baptized last Sunday and we were almost complete. We’re 7 in the family (3 girls, 4 boys!) by the way, the eldest, which is my big brother wasn’t able to make it because of work stuff. However, my Dad and step Mom was thrilled that we were able to make it. It’s one of the best days I’ve had in the longest time, family is sacred.
Life’s like that right? We can all describe it into so many words. Fun, miserable, boring, happy, sad, beautiful, epic. There’s one thing that I’m just so grateful for my life for days like this though: that I’m alive and I’m freaking happy no matter what comes into my way! 💞
Stay gold babes, til next time!
